Manitoba Health and Shared Health will continue to use a clinically informed approach during the respiratory virus season to protect the province’s most vulnerable populations, including those who may not be able to protect themselves from respiratory viruses while receiving care or support in a communal residence or health-care facility.
Respiratory season is hitting hard in healthcare facilities. We wish to prevent as much as we are able, with the knowledge that we cannot prevent all illnesses or sickness, nor their results, arising from viruses and other infectious agents.
Manitoba Health advises that the first shipments of updated COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines are now being sent throughout the province, beginning with high-priority locations such as personal care homes and hospitals.
All visitors are required to self screen daily for all Influenza, GastroIntestinal, or Respiratory Virus symptoms prior to entering West Park Manor to visit residents.
