Position/Status:                      Casual Position-Recreation Aide

General Qualifications:        Requirements

-Experience required in Recreation programing for a healthcare elderly environment
-Certificate in therapeutic recreation or processing with a recognized accredited school
-Available to work some flexible shifts/hours to assist with department program needs
-Strong independent and team work skills with high degree of responsibility and leadership
-Support a holistic spiritual philosophy of care with positive interpersonal skills
-Paid general & safety orientation and other job specific orientation needed.
-Desire to work with elderly essential
-Enrollment in some HEB Manitoba employee benefits available
-Experience in geriatric care and familiar with MDS assessment tool are good assets.
-Position can lead to part time or full time.  May include some on-call hours as casual for vacant shift coverage.
